U.S. Supreme Court to Decide Whether Oral Complaints are Protected Activity under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (?FLSA?) protects employees who have ?filed? complaints from retaliation. The Seventh Circuit held that oral complaints were not protected conduct because they could not be ?filed.? Kasten v. Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp., 585 F.3d 310 (7th Cir. 2009).
